Refugees for Justice welcomes launch of Inquiry into treatment of asylum-seekers in Glasgow during Covid-19 pandemic.

We believe that the UK asylum and accommodation system remains broken as evidenced by both parliamentary inquiries and independent research and highlighted by the harrowing and avoidable Park Inn Incident.  

Lessons have not been learned. There has been no meaningful investigation. The biased evaluation report by the Home Office has been kept hidden and they have now expanded the exact same practice that led to these tragedies in Glasgow to other areas in Scotland. This is utterly unacceptable.
